Jathara Parivartasana: Master the Supine Spinal Twist for Organ Massage and Flexibility

Experience the restorative power of Jathara Parivartasana, a supine spinal twist honed over years of yoga practice. This pose uses spinal rotation and deep breathing to gently massage internal organs, stretch the upper back, open the chest and shoulders, and create space for heart and lungs. It's so accessible, you can even practice it on the beach.

How to Practice:

– Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.

– Spread your arms at shoulder height.

– Cross your right leg over your left leg and place your left hand on your right thigh or knee.

– Lower your legs to the left and turn your head to the right.

– Place your right arm loosely next to your face.

– Hold for a few minutes, breathing slowly.

– Bring your arms by your sides and use your abs to bring your legs back to the center.

– Feel the effects of the pose, then repeat on the other side.
