A compelling relay race across the Netherlands is drawing urgent attention to the global crisis of maternal mortality.
Every year, more than 500,000 women lose their lives during childbirth. Determined to drive change, the renowned international health organization Simavi organized this nationwide event. On Saturday, September 5, TV host Robert ten Brink will launch the relay in Haarlem.
The route will span the country, passing through key cities like Maastricht, Groningen, and Utrecht, before concluding in The Hague on September 26. Open to all, the event features celebrated Dutch personalities such as Xandra Brood, Diewertje Blok, and Sylvana Simons lending their support.
