Top Well-Being Resolutions for 2018: Insights from NIVEA's Survey of Women

In 2014, NIVEA surveyed women on their habits and well-being resolutions. Four years on, they've revisited the topic with 459 participants. Key focuses include health, cocooning, self-time—whether at home or professionally. The top five resolutions are: 1/ Embrace life's pleasures fully (up from second in 2014); 2/ Maintain or reach your ideal weight; 3/ Protect health by dodging poor lifestyle habits; 4/ Enjoy nature's benefits (like forest walks or gardening); and 5/ Eat healthier. Ambitious goals ahead!

Time for Yourself

Health priorities are rising: 92% aim to care for their figure (vs. 81% in 2014), 81% plan more exercise (+12 points), and 73% are set to quit smoking (up from 58%). For cocooning and body care, 25% seek more rest and relaxation, 21% want extra massages, and 19% prioritize better sleep. Impressively, 90% desire more bathroom time, with 71% craving at least 10 extra minutes.

Well-being extends to mental health, often tackled solo: 54% are open to meditation. Yet, 77% avoid psychotherapy, and 69% skip coaches for stress or confidence.
