This proven technique uses the extra eyelets at the top of your shoe to lock your heel in place.

Thread each lace through the top eyelet on its own side, creating a loop. Cross the laces, then pull each end through the opposite loop. Tighten by pulling downward until the loops disappear, and tie normally.
Your heel stays stable, reducing movement and friction to minimize blisters on heels and toes.
