62-Year-Old George Hood Shatters World Plank Record with Over 8 Hours on Elbows and Toes

Struggling to hold a plank for 20 seconds? Try more than 8 hours. That's the incredible feat achieved by 62-year-old American George Hood, who officially broke the world record according to Guinness World Records.

The former soldier maintained perfect plank form for 8 hours, 15 minutes, and 15 seconds—a first in history.

Training

To reach this milestone, Hood trained over seven hours daily for 18 months. Beyond planking, his routine included 700 pushups, 2,000 situps, and 500 leg raises each day—all under expert coaching, powered by Van Halen and Rammstein to conquer the toughest stretches.
