3 Proven Yoga Poses to Help You Sleep Like a Baby

1. Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose (Viparita Karani)

Sit facing a wall with your buttocks about six inches away. Lie back and extend your legs up the wall. Adjust closer or farther for comfort. Relax your arms at your sides and breathe deeply, feeling the gentle stretch in your legs' backs. Hold for two minutes.

2. Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana)

Lie on your back. Inhale deeply, then exhale as you draw your knees toward your chest. Inhale again and grasp the outer edges of your feet. Gently bend your knees toward your armpits and rock side to side. Release, lower your feet, and rest.

3. Reclining Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana)

Place a rolled blanket lengthwise behind you. Sit with knees bent, soles of feet together near your pelvis, knees falling open. Exhale and lean back onto your elbows. Relax your groin, lower knees further, and tilt your pelvis for a long lower back. Hold for three minutes, deepening relaxation with each breath.
