Free Skin Cancer Screenings During France's 19th Prevention Week: May 15-19, 2017

In France, nearly 90,000 cases of skin cancer are diagnosed annually. Early detection offers a high cure rate. For the 19th edition of Skin Cancer Prevention and Screening Week (May 15-19, 2017), the National Syndicate of Dermatologists-Venerologists (SNDV) offers free screenings by appointment at nearly 300 dermatologists' offices. Previously limited to a single day at screening centers, this year's expanded approach aims to reach a broader audience, as noted on the SNDV website.

1,773 Deaths from Melanoma in 2015

Participating dermatologists provide a targeted skin cancer screening exam at no cost—not a full consultation. No treatments or prescriptions are issued during the session. If cancer is detected, the doctor will refer you to another specialist for follow-up. This initiative is crucial amid 90,000 annual cases, including cutaneous melanoma, the most severe form. In 2015, 14,325 people were diagnosed with melanoma, and 1,773 lost their lives to it.

To book your free screening, visit the dedicated SNDV website or call the toll-free number 0805 53 2017.
