Coronavirus infections have been rising steadily for weeks. Leading epidemiologists and medical experts are now advocating for mandatory face masks to curb the virus's spread.
Epidemiologist Frits Rosendaal from Leiden University Medical Center cites substantial evidence that face masks effectively reduce transmission. He argues this low-impact measure would significantly ease the burden on healthcare systems.

The Red Team concurs. Bert Mulder, a medical microbiologist and Red Team member, warns of the approaching flu season: "If you wait until hospitals are overwhelmed, it's too late."
Marino van Zelst, a researcher and fellow Red Team member, adds: "Early, targeted interventions are preferable to drastic measures later. No one wants that."
