The US military's fitness assessments are brutally demanding. Beyond raw physical strength, they rigorously evaluate mental toughness. Serving requires peak conditioning in body and mind.
Core exercises include:
- Three deadlifts at minimum twice your body weight.
- Overhead throw of a 4.5 kg medicine ball to test explosive speed and agility.
- Five 50-meter shuttles featuring sprints, towing a 40-kg sled, and maneuvering 15-kg kettlebells.
- Maximum leg tucks in two minutes.
- Two-mile (3.22 km) run in 12:45 or less.
