Global EndoMarch Walk: Raising Awareness for Endometriosis in 60+ Cities Worldwide

Endometriosis affects about 1 in 10 women, causing severe pelvic pain during menstruation. In severe cases, it can lead to infertility or require surgery. Often misunderstood and misdiagnosed, it's gaining attention through advocacy efforts. This Saturday marks the 4th edition of EndoMarch, held in Paris and over 60 cities worldwide, backed by French associations EndoFrance, ENDOmind, Mon Endométriose Ma Souffrance, and Ensemble Contre l'Endométriose.

Raise Awareness

What is endometriosis? This chronic condition impacts menstruating individuals, featuring endometrial tissue growing outside the uterus. Frequently diagnosed late or by chance, many endure intense gynecological pain from puberty onward—during periods or intercourse. On March 25, EndoMarch amplifies the voices of millions affected, celebrating awareness gains, pushing for better diagnosis and management, and urging recognition as a public health priority.

Take Concrete Action to Manage the Disease

Often taboo or downplayed, endometriosis impacts 6-10% of women of childbearing age. Poor symptom recognition, especially painful periods, delays diagnosis by 6-10 years. To improve care, Health Minister Marisol Touraine signed a March 22, 2017, agreement with Info Endométriose, enhancing info access for young women via posters, flyers, brochures, and nationwide campaigns for professionals and the public.

Join on March 25, 2017, at Parvis de la Mairie du 15e, 31 rue Péclet. More details on the ENDOmind association website.
