Study Finds 100% of Non-Organic Muesli Contaminated with Pesticides, Including Endocrine Disruptors

The environmental advocacy group Générations Futures, dedicated to raising awareness about pollution risks, has uncovered alarming results from breakfast cereals like muesli. In their EXPPERT7 report, they analyzed 15 non-organic fruit muesli packets and 5 organic ones. The findings? A vast majority of non-organic mueslis contain pesticide residues.

Endocrine Disruptors: The Hidden Health Threat

Shockingly, 100% of non-organic samples tested positive for pesticide residues, while none of the organic samples did. Across the 15 non-organic packets, 141 residues were detected, with 81 classified as endocrine disruptors (EDs). As Générations Futures explains, EDs can interfere with the endocrine system, leading to harmful effects on individuals or their descendants. They are linked to reduced fertility, increased diabetes risk, and impacts on children's immune and respiratory systems.
