A striking trend that's grown over the past two decades: more than 50% of mothers have now sampled their own breast milk. Just 10 years ago, that figure was 43%, up from 38% two decades prior. Nearly all who tried it reported a neutral or positive experience. This raises some intriguing questions:
Why taste it?
For 81% of mothers, pure curiosity drove the decision. Meanwhile, 17% said it helped them better understand their baby's diet—and even deepened their bond with their little one. Curious parents, we'd love to hear your stories.
What about dads?
They're in on it too! More than one in three fathers (35%) have given it a try, a rise from 27-29% twenty years ago. Like moms, most found the experience positive overall. Dads' curiosity is alive and well.
How does it taste?
Most described a sweet flavor, varying in intensity—that's what won over many. Though more than half weren't fully convinced, nearly half rated it good or very good.
So, when will you give it a try?
