To boost output, she followed a extreme regimen: "In one day, I had drunk about three protein shakes and a huge bowl of black bean soup." But this unchecked diet backfired. She recounted: "I could tell something was wrong... pressure in my stomach moving upwards. It was quite difficult to breathe... pinching sensation around my heart." Fearing a heart attack, she called a friend for a ride to the hospital.
Stephanie was admitted that night but initially omitted her jar business. She did disclose her diet, and doctors diagnosed intense gas pains—not a stroke or heart attack. They prescribed dietary changes and "anti-gas medicine, which effectively put an end to my activity."
