The sensation of heavy legs indicates a venous system dysfunction, where leg veins struggle to return blood from the feet to the heart. This issue may stem from genetics (poor circulation) or external triggers like heat, prolonged standing or sitting, leg crossing, smoking, air travel, hormonal treatments, or pregnancy.
The fastest relief comes from movement to activate venous flow—walk whenever possible, even just to grab a coffee. If immobile, manually stimulate circulation: wrap hands around the ankle and apply firm pressure upward along the leg. For better results, pair this with a specialized 'heavy legs' product featuring venotonics, decongestants, and menthol for instant cooling.
Cold water jets from feet to thighs provide excellent relief too. Preventively, consider 'light legs' supplements to fortify veins, drink ample water, and slightly elevate your mattress at the foot end. If symptoms recur or intensify (such as varicose veins), consult a phlebologist without delay.
